Welcome to the collection of images dedicated to sparks — tiny, short-lived flashes of light that occur during the rapid release of energy. Sparks can be captured in various natural and technical contexts, representing tiny particles of heated material or glowing droplets. They often appear during friction, impact, combustion, or electrical discharge, demonstrating unique physical phenomena of energy and matter interaction.

Depending on the conditions, sparks may be associated with combustion processes, for example, when igniting fires in stoves or campfires, where tiny heated particles of dust or wood are thrown into the air. Sparks are also observed when working with metal tools, when metal surfaces are rubbed or drilled — in these cases, sparks are glowing tiny metal particles flying out of the friction or impact zone.

Additionally, sparks arise during electrical discharges, for example, in ignition systems or during short circuits of high-voltage lines. In these cases, sparks are manifestations of a rapid ionized flow of electric current in the air, often accompanied by bright light emission.

Sparks can vary in size, shape, and duration — from barely noticeable tiny flashes to larger droplets of heated material. Their behavior depends on the environment, temperature, speed of occurrence, and properties of the involved substances. Sparks are often accompanied by heat emission, the smell of burning, and noise related to rapid physical changes.

Visually, sparks often appear in the context of fire, metalworking, or electricity, but they are an independent natural and technical phenomenon directly related to the physics of high-energy processes. When observing sparks, one can often notice their fall, disappearance in the air, changes in shape and brightness, as well as interaction with the surrounding environment, such as air currents or surfaces.
